Every horse has its own story, and we always love hearing about the experiences of horse owners who have introduced EquiNectar into their horses’ daily routines.

We recently received some wonderful feedback from our Czech distributor, Petra, who is also a qualified veterinarian. She kindly shared testimonials from horse owners across the Czech Republic who have tried EquiNectar and wanted to tell us about their experiences.

From the challenges their horses have faced to the changes they have observed along the way, these personal stories offer a lovely insight into their journeys with EquiNectar.

We’re delighted to share some of their experiences with you and would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Petra and the owners who generously allowed us to share their stories.

With the kind permission of Redy’s owner, Anna Trůblová, we’re delighted to share our very first review of EquiNectar! Anna and her pony Redy were among the first customers to purchase EquiNectar.

Redy: 13-year-old pony

“Redy suffered from a severe case of laminitis. His condition was extremely poor – he spent most of his time lying down, was unable to walk and was experiencing severe pain, despite being given painkillers. His condition was so serious that we weren’t sure whether he would ever improve.

After starting EquiNectar, his condition improved significantly within just one week. He stopped lying down during the day, became more willing to move around, and his overall quality of life improved.”

Testimonial from Eva Dlauhoweská: Orin, 13-year-old Friesian horse

“During the autumn of last year, Orin began showing signs of abdominal pain in the area just behind his ribs. He became extremely sensitive, reacting painfully to even the lightest touch around his flanks. At the beginning of December, he underwent physiotherapy to release tension in his abdominal wall, back and pelvic ligaments. His condition improved significantly, and after a second session just before Christmas, his sensitivity to touch disappeared completely. However, the physiotherapist warned me that the treatment was likely relieving the symptoms rather than addressing the underlying cause.

During a gentle ride at the end of the year, Orin was happy, energetic and keen to move forward. Until then, he had been on a period of rest, with only occasional walks in hand.

Unfortunately, at the beginning of January, the pain returned. Once again, he became irritable and sensitive to touch around his flanks. As physiotherapy had previously provided some relief, our vet recommended another session. If this didn't produce sufficient improvement, we were considering a gastroscopy or an abdominal ultrasound to investigate further. It was at this point that we discovered EquiNectar.

We introduced EquiNectar into Orin’s routine at the same time as his third physiotherapy session, and his condition improved almost immediately. The container is now nearly empty, the pain hasn't returned, and Orin is clearly feeling much better. He's back to his cheeky self, constantly thinking of new mischief to get up to! Thank you!”

Our third review of EquiNectar comes from Kateřina Kumbla, who kindly shared her experience with her mare, Vločka.

Vločka’s Story: 26-Year-Old Shagya Arabian Mare

“We’ve been testing a product for the past two weeks that was introduced to the Czech market by veterinarian Petra Špetlová. The product is EquiNectar, designed to support healthy digestive function in horses.

My mare, Vločka, has been taking it. She’s 26 years old and suffers from faecal water syndrome. She also has a very sensitive digestive system, partly due to the large number of melanomas in her abdominal cavity. So far, I have to say I’m really pleased with what I’ve seen. She has more energy, she doesn't stretch her abdomen as much as she used to due to the long-standing tension and discomfort in her belly, and the amount of faecal water has noticeably reduced. Overall, I can see from her droppings that her digestion seems to be functioning better, and she appears much more comfortable. I'll definitely share another update after she's been taking EquiNectar for a longer period.

We’re also testing it with several other clients, and I’m really looking forward to seeing their results!”

This next story is particularly special, as it comes from our Czech distributor and veterinarian, Petra Špetlová, who shares her personal experience with EquiNectar and one of her own horses, Lisbon.

Lisbon’s Story: A Remarkable 33-Year-Old Czech Warmblood

“Meet Lisbon, a Czech Warmblood gelding who will be celebrating his 34th birthday in just three months! Lisbon no longer has any teeth, so he relies entirely on specially prepared feeds. His meals consist of a soft mash made from several ingredients, including grass pellets, alfalfa pellets, malt sprouts, sugar beet pulp, soya meal, linseed oil, a mineral supplement and EquiNectar.

When I first introduced EquiNectar, I was hoping it would help Lisbon stop eating his own droppings and perhaps even gain a little more weight. I began noticing changes before he had even finished his first container. The areas around his withers, shoulders and spine appeared noticeably more muscular, although his lower back remains a little weaker. And, most importantly, he has finally stopped eating his own droppings! So far, I’m very pleased with what I’ve observed. However, you’ll certainly be hearing more about Lisbon, as I plan to share regular updates alongside photographs documenting his progress over time.

P.S. Lisbon still “works” with young children, teaching them the very basics of horse riding. He loves feeling important and needed, and to me, he truly is irreplaceable. He is a very special gentleman of a horse!

Apart from having no teeth, Lisbon is in excellent health."

Homer’s Story: A 10-Year-Old Horse

“I would say that Homer seems to have noticeably more energy since starting EquiNectar. He has always been quite laid-back and tended to conserve his energy, but now he seems much more enthusiastic about moving around. Overall, he appears happier and more content.

During the first few days of taking EquiNectar, his droppings became softer. I even noticed one that was particularly loose, almost resembling a cowpat. However, this has since resolved. I've also noticed that his faecal water has reduced compared with how it used to be.”

A Promising Start: A 12-Year-Old Competition Pony’s Experience with EquiNectar

“Following a recommendation from our physiotherapist, Katka Kumbla, we decided to try EquiNectar with our 12-year-old pony mare, who competes at ST level. We had only recently welcomed her into our care, and she appeared sensitive and uncomfortable around her abdomen when examined by touch. There was also some suspicion that she might have gastric ulcers, although this hadn't been confirmed.

I believe that the combination of physiotherapy and introducing EquiNectar into her routine helped her begin moving more freely. The signs of discomfort became noticeably less pronounced, she became more responsive to leg aids, and her overall wellbeing seemed to improve. We first noticed changes around the third day after starting EquiNectar. Now, just over a week later, and following her first competition of the season, I can honestly say I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I hadn't expected to notice changes so quickly or to see her so calm and comfortable.

We'll see how things progress, but for now, we're all very pleased!

Our physiotherapist also happened to check on her on the way back from the competition and confirmed that she looked brighter and seemed much more comfortable overall, which makes me happiest of all.”

We absolutely love hearing about the horses behind EquiNectar and the experiences their owners have shared with us. Every horse has its own unique journey, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has taken the time to tell us their story.

A special thank you to our Czech distributor and veterinarian, Petra Špetlová, for collecting and sharing these wonderful testimonials, and to all the horse owners who kindly allowed us to feature their experiences.

And the good news? There are plenty more lovely stories to come! Keep an eye out for Part Two, where we’ll be sharing even more experiences from EquiNectar customers in the Czech Republic.
