This is Granit, a 6-year-old show jumper trained and competed by Jill Borgström. Since the beginning of June, Granit has been given EquiNectar as part of his daily feed ration, and over the past few months Jill has seen several positive changes.
When Granit started with EquiNectar, he was a bit thin and needed to gain more condition/weight. His droppings had a distinct, sharp, and foul-smelling odor. Granit's hooves also had a somewhat different shape. Since then, things have developed in the right direction...
Granit has gained noticeably better body condition, and the previously sharp smell from his droppings has disappeared and is now completely normal.
"Even the hooves have developed nicely. They've become so nice that the farrier has actually complimented them, which of course feels extra fun," Jill says.
For a young show jumper like Granit, it's important to build a good foundation for the future. The fact that he now looks better in condition and at the same time has healthy hooves is therefore very positive as he continues his training and development toward the competition arenas. In addition to that, he's also gotten the EquiNectar shine in his coat.
And Granit isn't the only one of Jill's horses getting EquiNectar. More of her horses have now started on the supplement, so it will be exciting to follow their development too. We'll be back with an update in the fall!
