"When I got back into horses after 20 years away, I never expected my first horse would be such a challenge. Kracka, my 5-year-old ex-racehorse, was labelled dangerous and aggressive. He was truly awful to handle at times — unpredictable, defensive, and honestly quite terrifying. I spent hours and hours researching ways to help him, desperate to understand what was going on beneath the surface and how I could turn things around for him. Not long after Kracka, I brought home Bruno, a 3-year-old straight off the track in October. His coat was dull, flakey, and he struggled to hold any weight. She’s such a sweet character and is developing into a gorgeous little mare.
