HORSE OF THE WEEK
ALEX
"I think I’ve tried almost every product available for hind gut disease with varying levels of success with Alex. In the end, I narrowed it down to three products that gave me the best results, although they didn’t completely resolve the issue.
Then I added EquiNectar, which brought a significant improvement. However, the hind gut still wasn’t 100%. I contacted the Tharos WhatsApp support, where I received quick replies to my questions and had in-depth discussions with Ben. With Ben’s advice, I made further changes to how I managed Alex’s grass intake - specifically, the amount of grass he was given and the timing of it. I also adjusted the amount of hay I provided. Managing the quantity and timing of fresh grass proved to be a critical factor, and this is now integrated with Alex’s twice-daily dose of EquiNectar.
For the past couple of weeks, Alex hasn’t experienced any hind gut pain, regardless of grass sugar levels, and he is a much happier horse. I’ve also been able to completely cut out two other hind gut products without any adverse effects. Now, he is only on EquiNectar and Coligone.
I highly recommend EquiNectar not only for the effectiveness of the product but also for the expertise and support they offer to help manage your horse’s welfare in the best possible way. All you have to do is ask!
